You are not likely to see this concentration of eagles ever again at Adak. During the mid 1970's when these were made, a large amount of edible garbage was produced every day from the military dining facilities, and these slops were simply dumped at the Monument Hill dump. It was a bonanza for the eagles, ten eagle nests surrounded Kuluk Bay. Ten years later, the garbage had been cleaned up and nesting was down to four (Zeto Point, Command Car Hill, Fort Dooley [failed due to parental neglect], Lucky Point) in the same area.
